Friends, family ask for help finding missing 44-year-old nurse

Active search set for Saturday

SPRING, Texas – Friends and family of a missing 44-year-old Spring man are pleading for the public's help in finding him.

No one has heard from Glenser Soliman since early Thursday morning when he called to check in before his shift as a nursing supervisor at St. Luke's Hospital.

Soliman is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 210 pounds. He has short, black hair and brown eyes.

"I am very worried," said his older sister, Arlene Lastion.

Lastion spoke to her brother on the phone Wednesday night.

"He was fine. He was on his way to worship service that night," Lastion said.

On Thursday, Soliman didn't show up to work.

Lastion went to his house on Spring City Court.

"We were expecting to see him sick in bed," Lastion said.

But Soliman was gone, and so was his SUV -- a metallic gray BMW X5 with a vanity plate that reads "CHUBEE."

His family is also worried because Soliman has several health issues.

"He has sleep apnea. He cannot sleep properly without his machine. He has hypertension, high cholesterol (and) he's diabetic. He needs his medications," Lastion said.

The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office is investigating Soliman's disappearance. Contact them at 281-376-3472 if you have any information. An active search for Soliman is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

A command post will be set up at the Grace Family Baptist Church, at 106 Bammel-Westfield Road, near FM 1960, in Houston. Officials will need searchers on foot and on all-terrain vehicles.

The Missing Persons Unit with the Harris County Sheriff's Office is also investigating the case.
