Florida family hoping to find missing mother in Houston

HOUSTON – A mother from Florida is missing in Houston, according to her family.

Tiffany McAllister hasn't been seen since the end of February.

Her family traveled from the Sunshine State to the Bayou City to retrace her steps before her disappearance.

The family drove in from Florida and have been hitting the streets since Wednesday, handing out fliers in the hope of finding a trace of the missing mother.

"Our whole family is broken, because I'm a mother and my gut instinct is something's not right," Tiffany's mother, Nancy Craig, said.

Tiffany McAllister, 30, is the mother of two girls.

Her family said she came to Houston about three weeks ago.

"Why is she here? We don't know. We don't know what brought her here, who brought her here. We do know she did not come here on her own," Craig said.

The family says McAllister was last heard from on Feb. 26.

She had been having daily contact with her mother, who was taking care of her two daughters.

"It's not her at all, and something's not right," Tiffany's brother, Jason McAllister, said.

Tiffany's mother and brother have been playing detective for three days.

"Every day, it's just that (much) harder to get to her," Jason said.

Her family said she was last seen at the McDonald's at Bissonnet Street and Sam Houston Parkway. That's where her family said her car was towed and her phone was found inside the car.

Her family said it's as if she vanished and nothing makes sense.

If you have any information as to where McAllister may be, you're asked to call Houston police.

Her family is offering a reward of $1,000 for information leading to her whereabouts.
