HOUSTON – The Houston Fire Department Arson Bureau is investigating after a 2-alarm fire in west Houston.
The fire broke at the complex in the 2200 block of Hayes. Firefighters arrived and found heavy smoke and flames coming from several apartments and the roof, officials said.
The fire caused damage to at least 6-10 units.
Firefighters gave oxygen to a dog and cat that were rescue from the fire.
No injuries were reported. The American Red Cross has responded to the scene to provide assistance to residents.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
