HOUSTON – The FBI is looking for a serial bank robber who has robbed at least five Houston-area banks in the past month.
During the robberies, no one has been hurt, but the man's threats of violence are escalating with each robbery, according to police.
During the robberies, the man hands the bank tellers a threatening note demanding money. Investigators said they are unsure if the man was carrying a weapon, because no weapon has been seen in any of the robberies. So far, no one has been hurt in any of the robberies.
Police said the man's threats of violence in the notes he hands to the tellers have been escalating. The man has even said he will shoot if he is not given any cash.
The man has got away with cash in each of the robberies. In the robbery of the BBVA Compass Bank, witnesses observed the man leaving the area in an early 2000 year tan Honda Accord.
Investigators believe the robber is responsible for the following robberies within the Greater Houston area:
Witnesses consistently describe the man as white with a slim build and in his mid 20s to 30s. During each robbery he wore a different button-down long-sleeved shirt along with a baseball cap to conceal his identity.
