Just after 9 a.m. Monday, a woman -- who identified herself as Jarrod Clark’s wife, although she said the couple recently separated due to a history of domestic abuse -- called authorities to report that she noticed her husband and their 17-year-old son pointing rifles at the neighbor’s home, which is where she and the couple’s youngest children had been staying, investigators said.
Deputies went to 77 Hall Drive North in Montgomery to investigate.
The woman told officials that while she was hiding in the neighbor’s house and waiting for law enforcement officers to arrive, she heard four to six gunshots.
It’s unclear in what direction the shots were fired. Deputies at the scene also heard the shots.
A SWAT team and a crisis negotiations team came to the home. SWAT officials approached the house and arrested Jarrod Clark and Matthew Clark without any issues.
