Driver in November hit-and-run crash sought

Victim suffered major injuries in crash, police say

HOUSTON – Police are searching for the person responsible for striking a pedestrian with a vehicle and leaving the scene of the incident without stopping to help.

Police said the victim was walking in a crosswalk in the 2200 block of the Katy Freeway service road at Taylor Street when a driver disregarded traffic signals and struck the pedestrian at 7:16 p.m. on Nov. 14.

The victim suffered major injuries from the hit-and-run.

Police described the driver's vehicle as a dark or maroon-colored small sedan.  It had a missing driver's side mirror and four square brake lights.

Police said the assailant's vehicle may have sustained damage to the front and left side.
