Dozens of weapons stolen during smash-and-grab at Carter's Country

Houston police are looking at surveillance video trying to find at least 10 people they say are responsible for a smash-and-grab in southwest Houston.

It happened around 5 a.m. Tuesday at Carter's Country Guns and Ammo in the 11000 block of South Wilcrest Drive.

According to police, several people tied chains to a black Ford F-250, and pulled the metal covered glass doors off its hinges.

That's when the gang of thieves rushed inside, stealing as many weapons as they could.

Police say it happened within minutes.

Several locked cases and containers were smashed open.  Guns on display in the front were also swiped.

More than 50 weapons in all were stolen.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information is urged to call the police.
