MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – Deputies making a traffic stop in the Goodson Loop area of Magnolia on Monday immediately recognized the driver, who is suspected in a drug trafficking organization in Harris and Montgomery counties.

Kimich “is not new to the (area’s) law enforcement,” officials said.

The ongoing drug trafficking investigation involved the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Kimich is a violent offender who has been arrested several times, accused of crimes including narcotics, assault with bodily injury, felony driving while intoxicated and theft, deputies said.

Kimich is currently on parole after having recently been released from jail.

Deputies have now charged him with manufacture and delivery of methamphetamine and said Kimich is in the Montgomery County Jail on $75,000 bond.

Manufacture and delivery of methamphetamine is a first-degree felony punishable by a $10,000 fine and life in prison.
