Coogs fans celebrate Peach Bowl win

HOUSTON – University of Houston football fans burst into cheer on Thursday at Calhoun's Rooftop Bar and Grill after the Cougars beat the Florida State Seminoles at the Peach Bowl in Atlanta.

Fans were glued to the television screens all morning and afternoon long as the Coogs scored one after another during the game.

"It's amazing. We are graduates, 1984. Go Coogs!" said Lynette Tello.

"I love it! Everybody is pumped! Everybody is excited!" said Andrew Shaghafi.

A couple hundred Coogs fans packed Calhoun's on Thursday while seven busloads of UH students, who traveled to Atlanta for the game, cheered their team on there.

"We've had a really good season this year. Twelve wins, and it's one of the best in recent memory, so this is the team to do well in the bowl," said Andy Muncy.

The University of Houston Cougars beat FSU 38 to 24.
