Husband of missing Splendora woman charged with murder

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – Murder charges have been filed against the husband of a missing woman Sunday.

Orville Clay Russell, 70, has been charged with murder, but investigators will not say if it's for the murder of his missing wife, Angela Porter-Russell.

Angela Porter-Russell has been missing since Dec. 18. Her family members say she would have never left to go anywhere without letting them know. They say she suffered from several medical conditions, and they've been worried about her health.

Coincidentally, investigators found a body in Liberty County on Saturday. The sheriff's office has not yet confirmed that this is in any way related to Angela Russell's disappearance.

Orville Russell is being held in lieu of $1 million bond.
