ORLANDO, Fla. – A car carrying two women and a 3-year-old boy overturned, crashed into a pole and burst into flames Monday morning after being involved in a hit-and-run in Orlando, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
According to the FHP, a Chevrolet Cruze was involved in a hit-and-run near I-4 and Michigan Street. A few minutes later, the car flipped while making a turn and slammed into the pole on Michigan Street at Woods Avenue.

Troopers said two women and the boy got out of the burning upside down car and got into another vehicle.
The FHP said the owner of the Cruze first said that his car had been stolen but then admitted that he loaned it to a woman. The man then told a trooper that the women and child were inside his home, the FHP said.
The boy suffered injuries in the crash and was taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital but was expected to be OK, the FHP said.
Troopers identified the women as the grandmother and mother of the boy. Their relationship to the man who owned the car is not known.
The grandmother, who has custody of the boy, will likely be arrested, the FHP told News 6.
The Department of Children and Families will also conduct an investigation.
