Body pulled from Sims Bayou in SE Houston
HOUSTON – Rescue crews recovered a body from Sims Bayou near 8105 North Bayou Drive around 7:25 p.m. Monday, according to the Houston Fire Department.
Police are awaiting autopsy results on the body. The man's identity and cause of death are pending verification.
There is no word as to how or why the body is in the bayou at this time, according to authorities, although authorities said it appeared the man's body had been there for a couple hours.
A woman crossing a footpath bridge noticed the body and called authorities. When authorities got the body out of the bayou, they saw no obvious signs of trauma.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600.
