HOUSTON - Two bartenders convicted of continuously serving a man who was visibly drunk have been sentenced to probation.

Last year, Juan Diaz left a bar on Highway 6, walked into traffic and was fatally struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.

On Tuesday, it took a jury only 10 minutes to convict the two women of serving alcohol to an intoxicated person.

Both were also fined $500 and must serve 25 hours of community service.

They may not tend bar during probation.
