January can be observed at the Zoo with her mom, Josie, and her dad, Mr. Lee, and her brother, Julius.
The word gerenuk means giraffe-necked in the Somali language. Gerenuk have a unique ability -- they can stand and balance themselves on their hind legs to reach the higher leaves that many other animals cannot reach.
Zoo officials said gerenuk have been known to stand on their hind legs at just two weeks old.
