Harris County Pct. 4 constables said they found her walking behind a motel on Interstate-45 and Cypresswood Drive in North Harris County. Deputies said she is safe and unharmed.

Her sister, Alicia Macias, said she called home on Tuesday when she missed the school bus after getting into some sort of disagreement with a teacher. Alicia said school surveillance cameras then show her sister starting to walk home, but she never made it.

“She had nothing with her. No money. No phone,” Alicia said. “It's really frustrating because every day you wake up thinking today is the day she'll call or come home and nothing.”

On Saturday, Texas EquuSearch crews set up a command post at the high school and used all-terrain vehicles to search near the area.

They wrapped up the search about 3:30 p.m. Saturday after finding no sign of Marcias.

“We certainly aren't going to indicate there is any foul play, but on the other hand we feel as though she certainly is endangered,” said Tim Miller, of Texas EquuSearch.

Alicia said her sister keeps to herself and has run away in the past, but she returned that same day. She also said her sister takes medication for a thyroid problem.
