Athletes, celebrities gather for Super Bowl LI at radio row in Houston

HOUSTON – Athletes, former athletes and celebrities are all in the same room talking to sports broadcasters from around the country for Super Bowl week.

Super Bowl 51 is five days away and the talk is centered on Houston at radio row.

Hall of Famer Warren Moon gave the city five gold stars.

“They do a great job of hosting big-time events in this town. It's a big sports town. I think they know how to welcome people,” Moon said. “The city looks great right now, especially what they've done to the convention center and all the new hotels.”

NFL legend and sports commentator Joe Theismann, who was also making the rounds today, said the running backs will be equally as important as the quarterbacks in Sunday’s game.

He’s predicting a win for New England but said the biggest winner of all is Houston.

“I feel like the police, security, everything that needs to be done at the Super Bowl will be done at the highest level," Theismann said. “I congratulate, so far, the city of Houston on what it’s done and I believe come next Monday when it's over, everybody is going to rave about the job Houston has done.”
