SAN ANTONIO – Police are crediting an Army veteran with stopping two teens Monday accused of breaking into two Northeast Side homes.
Police said they received a call that multiple burglar alarms were going off near Nacogdoches and Judson roads.

When officers arrived they found a home with a broken window and several items stolen.
While officers were responding, another home alarm went off, and a man chased the two suspects and got pictures of their car and license plate.
It was those pictures that helped nab the suspects, police said.
“We feel with theses arrests we've put a stop to a lot, some of the burglaries going on in the area,” officer Doug Greene said. “We can't thank the neighbor, who spotted these individuals, enough, who gave us a good description and chased those individuals away.”
The names of the two 19-year-olds have not been released.
Police believe they may be responsible for other break-ins.
Police also advise that people do not chase after suspects, but if they do they ask people use good judgement and not put themselves in danger.
