Amber Alert canceled after 3 missing children found in Mexico

HOUSTON – An Amber Alert issued earlier this week for three missing children was canceled Friday because the children are in Mexico, family members confirmed to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

DPS and law enforcement officials had been searching for Jason Frausto, Aaliyah Frausto and Isac Frausto since Wednesday after authorities said the were abducted by Doris Camerena, the biological, non-custodial mother of the children.

Police said Camerena took the kids from their grandmother's house on Jan. 10. The grandparents believe she was trying to take the children to Mexico, and on Friday, their father said they learned the children crossed the border into Mexico.

“If you see Doris Camarena, please let us know. I’m concerned for my grandchildren. They’re three of them, and I want them to return home because I was with them. I’m pleading to let me know if you find them," the children's grandmother, Margarita Camarena, said.
