1 dead, 1 injured in 3-vehicle wreck on westbound lanes of I-10 at Barker Cypress Rd.

HOUSTON – One person died in a three-vehicle wreck on the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 at Barker Cypress Road.

The accident happened at about 6:30 p.m., according to Houston TranStar.

TranStar cameras at I-10 and Park Ten show traffic in the area moving slowly.

At least one person died in the accident, according to the Texas Department of Public Transportation.

TxDOT officials said one person died at the scene and another person was taken to a hospital by LifeFlight.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
