2 people shot after CraigsList cellphone sale turns into robbery gone wrong

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Two people were shot Wednesday after a CraigsList cellphone sale turned into a deadly robbery, deputies said.

Harris County officials  said two buyers met with two sellers to buy a cellphone around 9:30 p.m. along Highway 6 near Clay Road. They were talking inside a vehicle, when two people were shot, investigators said.

One person was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police said they believe the two people who were shot were committing the robbery, and the people being robbed were defending themselves. 
 
The shooting is under investigaiton.
