Ada Alfaro, 33, was found dead by her family members when they woke up Saturday. They say the victim got into some sort of argument with a family friend Friday night.

The three family members, including two children, who live in the apartment with the woman say most of them were asleep before the argument happened.

The person of interest in the stabbing is identified as Tereso Reyes, who also goes by Fernando Reyes, police said. He was last seen traveling on the Southwest Freeway in a black 2007 Mazda 3 with Texas license plates GJ5457.

Investigators want to question Reyes but they believe he is fleeing to Mexico.

“I'm very concerned about my safety because I have a little sister, a brother, and a mother that I care for dearly,” said resident Sarah Hopson.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Tereso Reyes (AKA Fernando Reyes) is asked to contact the Houston Police Department Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
