1 man shot dead while walking to apartment

HOUSTON – A man was shot dead after being robbed on his way to his apartment, according to police. 

David Trejo-Gonzalez, 42, got out of his car and was heading to his Northline Terrace Crosstimbers apartment when he was stopped by a man who demanded his money, police said. 

During the robbery Trejo-Gonzalez was shot dead by the other man who then jumped into a "low-rider"-style white truck, where an accomplice was waiting for him, according to authorities. 

The man on the run is described as a black man in his early 20s, wearing black with white shorts, police said.
