Man found dead in parking lot

HOUSTON – Police are searching for the gunman in a deadly shooting at a southwest Houston apartment complex.

Officers responded around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a shooting at Urban Palms Apartment Homes at Town Park and Gessner and found a man's body in the parking lot.

Police said the man was standing outside his apartment when he was shot several times by an unknown person.

The victim is a Hispanic man in his 20s who lived at the complex.

He has not been identified.

Officers recovered more than a dozen shell casings at the scene.

Police said they have not found any witnesses to the shooting.
