1 killed in motorcycle crash in northeast Houston

HOUSTON – One person was killed in a motorcycle crash on Monday.

Deputies said the crash involved Dominique Jones, who was driving a Suzuki motorcycle traveling northbound in the 11800 block of Homestead Road.

Jones appeared to have been traveling at a high rate of speed when she struck the right side of a Chevrolet Silverado, deputies said.

According to investigators, the driver of the Silverado was traveling southbound on Homestead Road when the driver attempted to turn left onto the 6000 block of Hermann Road. That is when Jones’ Suzuki struck the vehicle.

Jones died at the scene. There is no word yet on the condition of the other driver.

The accident is still under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
