Lady Gaga wants to play on NRG roof for Super Bowl LI halftime, report says

Report claims to have behind-the-scenes knowledge of Gaga's Super Bowl show

HOUSTONLady Gaga wants to perform on the roof of Houston’s NRG Stadium during her Super Bowl halftime show, a report says.

Heavily citing sources, Page Six reported Monday that everyone involved -- from lawyers and techs to Gaga’s team and Super Bowl LI organizers -- are working hard to pull off the stunt -- and safely.

Those involved in the show are reportedly dabbling with a number of ideas to pull off a high-flying stunt, from airlifting the star to the stadium to potentially cutting a hole in the dome’s fabric ceiling for her to appear.

Citing a source, Page Six reports Gaga wants to do the stunt live during halftime, but the performance on the roof may end up as a pre-taped commercial due to myriad concerns.

Like the acrobatic rocker Pink, heights aren’t new to Gaga. In October, she famously sang as she balanced on the edge of a New York club’s terrace, shutting down streets as she performed “Angel Down.”

While no one has gone on the record with information about Gaga’s big show or the stunt, you can be sure all eyes will be on the dome when halftime in Houston happens.

In the meantime, check out one of Lady Gaga's Instagram posts featuring her team rehearsing in her backyard for the big game.
