New curbside pickup option for H-E-B shoppers

HOUSTON – Shoppers at H-E-B's Bunker Hill location can now get their groceries without ever leaving their car.

The grocery store giant is testing a new curbside pickup program at Bunker Hill that will allow customers to go online, order groceries, pay a $4.95 fee and drive up to the store to pick their purchases up at the curb.

"I think it'd be really convenient with three children to drive up and pick up your food without having to come inside, said shopper Shila Bustos.

Customers must log on to HEBtoyou.com, create a list of groceries, place their order 8 hours before pickup, and HEB employees will pick out all your groceries for you.

"We are excited to kick off this program just in time for the holidays," said Cyndy Garza-Roberts, Director, H-E-B Public Affairs, Houston.  "Every day we strive to enhance our customer's experience. Curbside Pickup makes grocery shopping even easier and more convenient whether you're in the neighborhood or stopping by on your commute."

The $4.95 dollar fee is for orders large and small, and there is no order minimum.

HEB's curbside pickup is available at the Bunker Hill location from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 pm.

For now, curbside pickup is only available at the Bunker Hill HEB, but the company may explore adding it to other stores in the Houston area in the near future.
