A hot, humid work week. Here's what's keeping the muggy and rain-free weather in SE Texas.
Sunday night, most of SE Texas remains rain-free, but if you are north of I-10, there is still a chance for more rain. A line of showers and storms continues to move southeast out of North Texas. The line could bring the tail end of its moisture to communities north of Harris County, but we should get no more than a few showers; the severe weather stays north of our area.
Monday starts mostly cloudy, with sunshine building in throughout the afternoon. There is an isolated chance for showers during the afternoon.
Rain chances fade as high pressure builds in, but the high pressure means a consistent southerly and southeasterly wind that will aid in heat and humidity. Monday's high in the low 90s feels like temperatures in the low 100s.
The heat continues to intensify throughout the week, with some days potentially reaching 115 degrees. If you plan to be outside, be sure to stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and take frequent breaks.
Have a great week.
