Hot, Humid and a foggy Monday morning commute.
Details below. -Brittany
Last week was the first time in 2024 that we hit 90 and this week's forecast - we are expected to hit the 90s every day. Add in the humidity and it will feel even warmer.
The average temperature is 88.
Plus, the Ozone pollution will be high on Sunday. Galveston, Brazoria, and Harris Counties will be under an Air Quality Alert.
Be sure to limit time outside, especially if you have respiratory illnesses.
And more than 300,000 customers are still without power from Thursday's storm.
If you don't have power:
-Make sure to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
-Spend part of your day in places with AC - like the mall, the movie theater or even the library.
- Shut off the heat to rooms that face the sun by closing the blinds and the door.
- Cool off by putting your towels, blankets, and washcloths in ice.
Monday:
Tracking fog for your Monday morning drive, warmer temperatures for the day and gusty conditions for your evening drive.
Your weather team will update you all week on the rising temperatures, air quality and power outages.
