Tornado Watch has been cancelled for communities north of Houston

Most of us remain dry in the early evening, allowing for the cancellation of a Tornado Watch for our northern counties (Copyright 2025 by KPRC Click2Houston - All rights reserved.)

The Tornado Watch that was in effect until 9 p.m., has been cancelled by the National Weather Service as storms are not likely at this point.

We’re going to continue to watch for a chance of severe weather for our northern-most counties as we head into the rest of Friday evening and through the day on Saturday for the rest of SE Texas.

Make sure you have a way to receive weather alerts and know where your safe place is in your home. A safe place to protect yourself during a tornado is a room on the lowest level of your home with no windows, like a closet or bathroom.

You’ll want to stay weather alert this weekend as Houston gets another chance at severe thunderstorms.
