Today’s forecast:
We have another gorgeous day ahead. Temperatures climb to the mid-80 today under sunny skies and light winds.
Beautiful weather through Friday:
We have a nice stretch of spring weather through Friday. Our changes come in this weekend. It gets cloudy and humid Saturday with our next chance of rain Sunday. The issue with this rain is it will linger off and on through Thursday of next week. And that would mean our eclipse will be cloudy and possibly rainy Monday in Houston.
Solar Eclipse Trouble:
We’re watching Monday’s forecast carefully as a cold front will move in late Sunday and possibly stall Monday. The data has consistently shown thick clouds and possibly rain in Houston. If this forecast doesn’t change we won’t see anything in southeast Texas. But the hope is there are at least a few breaks in the clouds. Along the path of totality clouds are expected but the type is key. If it isn’t overcast, seeing the total eclipse is possible especially if the clouds are high with breaks.
10-day forecast:
The solar eclipse forecast is something we’ll watch carefully. Otherwise, enjoy the next few few cool mornings and sunny afternoons before the front brings back storms that could linger into the end of next week.
