The beloved TV series 'A Different World' premiered on NBC in 1987 and ran for six seasons. The show focused on student life at Hillman College, a fictional historically black college in Virginia. Now, the series is getting a revival on Netflix, following a new generation of students led by the daughter of original characters Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert as she starts her Freshman year at the same college where we first met her parents.
