Over the offseason, senior Damian Dunn committed to the University of Houston through the transfer portal for moments like this, an opportunity to play in the NCAA tournament.
“When I was making the decision winning was a major thing. There’s not really a better place that defines that, then where I’m at right now,” Dunn said.
“I’ve been soaking it in. The moment, the privilege, it’s a great experience.”
With a banged up rotation, the Cougars will be relying on the Temple transfer throughout the tournament.
“He’s a great player and we’ve been talking about this since the beginning of the year. His best basketball is ahead of him,” guard Emanuel Sharp said.
Dunn and the Houston Cougars will take on Longwood on Friday at 8:20 p.m.
