Houston Texans training camp set to start this week

HOUSTON – The Houston Texans look to kick off training camp this Wednesday, July 26, with the first open practice being on Friday, July 28.

There is a lot of anticipation going into training camp as it has been an exciting off-season for the team and fans, starting with the hiring of new head coach, DeMeco Ryans.

Eight training camp practices will be free and open to all fans. The dates are Friday, July 28; Sunday, July 30; Friday, August 4; Saturday, August 5; Tuesday, August 8; Sunday, August 13; Wednesday, August 16; and Thursday, August 17.

The practices will begin at 9 a.m. with the exception of Saturday, August 5, at 6 p.m..; Saturday, August 12 at 3:45 p.m. and Wednesday, August 30 at 3:45 p.m.

Joint practices will also take place on August 16-17 in Houston with the Miami Dolphins and August 24-25 in New Orleans with the Saints.

Randy McIlvoy, Ari Alexander, Aaron Wilson, and Brian “Big Sarge” Barefield sat down to discuss the different things to look for during training camp.
