HOUSTON – For A.J. Haulcy, this has been a busy time.

The Missouri City native and Thurgood Marshall graduate is finishing up a whirlwind of travel as he goes through the NFL draft process. He is regarded as a late first-round to second-round draft target, representing a potential enforcer and ballhawk in the secondary at the NFL level.

The LSU All-American safety visited the hometown Texans and also visited the Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins.

A University of Houston transfer, Haucly recorded 89 tackles, three interceptions and one forced fumble last season.

Haucly is a big, hard-hitting safety at 6-foot, 215 pounds. He intercepted 10 career passes.

At the NFL scouting combine, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.52 seconds with a 1.62 10-yard split

He recorded five interceptions in his final season for the Coogs before entering the NCAA transfer portal and choosing LSU over Miami.

He began his career at New Mexico where he had two interceptions and two forced fumbles before transferring to play for the Coogs.
