Wide receiver to visit Chiefs, Patriots

HOUSTON – Among the Texans’ predraft meetings is a visit with Central Florida wide receiver Javon Baker, per a league source.

Baker also has meetings with the Kansas City Chiefs and the New England Patriots.

Baker has good size and mobility at 6-foot-1, 202 pounds. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.54 seconds at the NFL scouting combine with a 1.58 10-yard split and had a 10-1 broad jump and a 37-inch vertical leap.

A former Alabama recruit, Baker is a crisp route runner with an NFL build.

Baker tracks the football well and can operate in the slot or outside, creating separation naturally.

Baker caught 52 passes for 1,139 yards and seven touchdowns last season and was selected to the Senior Bowl all-star game.
