Rockets trade for center Steven Adams, NBA source confirms

HOUSTON – The Houston Rockets traded for center Steven Adams, sending guard Victor Oladipo and three second-round picks to the Memphis Grizzlies, an NBA source confirmed to KPRC 2.

Adams will miss the rest of the 2023-24 season, as he recovers from knee surgery. Oladipo has not played for the Rockets in 2023-24, and is also recovering from a knee injury.

Adams, 30, is from New Zealand, and has averaged 9.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game in 11 NBA seasons, counting 2023-24. Adams is known for his defense, rebounding and screen-setting.
