The Touchdown Tour's kickoff event is Saturday in the parking lot of Space Center Houston. It will start at 10 a.m. and end at 2 p.m.

"The Houston Super Bowl Host Committee is committed to giving everyone an unparalleled Super Bowl experience," said Sallie Sargent, the president and CEO of the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee. "We want to bring the excitement of Super Bowl LI into the community so everyone is able to have a great Super Bowl experience."

This particular event is for football fans and space enthusiasts alike. People who attend can enjoy unique experiences from both NASA and Space Center Houston.

Retired astronaut Scott Kelly, who recently returned from a year in space, will be there. He will return the NFL football that spent five months alongside him in the International Space Station to the host committee in a special ceremony at 10:30 a.m.

“We are excited to partner with the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee to help kick off its Touchdown Tour,” said Space Center Houston president and CEO William T. Harris. “And what better place in Space City to hold it than at Space Center Houston!”

Entry to the Touchdown Tour is free. The normal $6 charge for on-site parking at Space Center Houston will be in place.
