Motorcyclist injured after refusing to stop for DPS trooper, crashing into barriers on I-45

A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries after crashing on I-45 Saturday night, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The crash happened around 7:23 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-45 at the 610 South Loop.

According to DPS, a trooper initiated a traffic stop on the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist refused to stop, hitting the barriers on the highway.

The DPS trooper was not injured in the crash.

The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital for life-threatening injuries.
