Deer Park Junior High School bus carrying more than 30 students involved in crash in Baytown

BAYTOWN, Texas – A school bus carrying more than 30 children was involved in a crash on Tuesday morning.

Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash in the 6000 block of Thompson Road around 8 a.m.

Deputies said the school bus was carrying 31 Deer Park Jr. High School students and two adults.

Although there were no major injuries, deputies said one student may be transported to the hospital for precautionary reasons.

Some parents are currently at the scene.
