The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is advising residents to boil all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, or other personal use. Water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least two minutes before use. Officials say children, seniors, and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk from harmful bacteria.
Trinity Bay Conservation District will collect water samples once repairs are completed, with results expected within 24 to 48 hours. Officials will notify customers when it is safe to resume normal water use, and KPRC 2 will update this article.
Customers with questions can contact the Trinity Bay Conservation District office at 409-296-3602 or Chief Operator Joseph Mouton at 409-277-0967.
