Possible grenade found at home in NW Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says authorities discovered a possible hand grenade at a home near the Tomball Parkway Monday.

The discovery was made in the 13200 block of Prado Lane, near the Tomball Parkway and Perry Road.

It is unclear at this time if the object is actually a live hand grenade, but the sheriff’s office said bomb technicians have taken the object and plan to safely dispose of it at their bomb range.

The sheriff’s office says the object was found by people cleaning the home.

Law enforcement have since left the scene.
