Small plane with flat tire to be towed off Hobby Airport runway

HOUSTON – Departures at Hobby Airport were briefly halted after a small plane landed and had a flat tire.

The Houston Fire Department said they responded to the airport around 4:40 p.m. and found a small plane with a flat tire and also smoke coming from the wheels.

FAA Advisories showed a ground stop was issued at the airport due to the issue. It has since been lifted.

Authorities say no injuries were reported and the aircraft is being towed off the runway.
