Man shoots, kills man who was following him in Cypress

CYPRESS, Texas – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting in Cypress.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said it happened near the intersection of Highway 290 and Spring Cypress Road.

According to Gonzalez, a man approached another man for an unknown reason and kept following the man around the parking lot.

The man being followed retrieved a pistol and shot the man who was following him. The wounded man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gonzalez said the alleged shooter remained at the scene.
