The last time snow graced Houston was on February 15, 2021, when one inch was measured during a significant winter storm that paralyzed much of Texas. The city’s all-time record for snowfall occurred in February 1895, with a staggering 20 inches over two days — 19 inches on February 14 and an additional inch on February 15.
Snowfall is expected to taper off by Tuesday evening, but residents are urged to stay cautious on icy roads and prepare for potential disruptions. The rare weather event could etch itself into the city’s history books alongside the legendary storms of the past.
