HOUSTON – Houstonians are preparing for a rare bout of wintry weather that could include snowfall . If the city receives four inches of snow as forecasted, it will mark the second-highest single-day snowfall in Houston history .

The last time snow graced Houston was on February 15, 2021, when one inch was measured during a significant winter storm that paralyzed much of Texas. The city’s all-time record for snowfall occurred in February 1895, with a staggering 20 inches over two days — 19 inches on February 14 and an additional inch on February 15.
