It happened just before 8 a.m. when the Houston Police Department said they received reports of a man on Caddo Street near Homestead Road. breaking windows and slashing tires. When officers went to confront the unidentified man, who led them on a brief chase followed by a scuffle.
During the fight, investigators said the man tried reaching for an officer’s gun and another police officer shot him twice, killing him.
HPD commanders & PIO are en route to an officer-involved shooting in the 7300 block of Caddo St. near Homestead Rd.
