HOUSTON – A wrong-way driver, riding with two minors, crashed head-on into an SUV, killing a woman, police said.
Investigators said a driver in a Chevrolet Silverado was going southbound in the northbound lanes of the Eastex Freeway near Aldine Bender just after 3 a.m. Sunday.
Police said the driver crashed head-on into a white SUV, killing the woman driver.
The driver of the pickup truck suffered a broken leg.
A 14-year-old and a 6-year-old inside the pickup truck had minor injuries but are expected to recover.
Police said the wrong-way driver may have been intoxicated, but an investigation is underway.
