Work begins to repair roof panels damaged by Hurricane Beryl at NRG Stadium

HOUSTON – Officials at NRG Park confirm to KPRC 2 work has begun to repair one of two roof panels damaged by Hurricane Beryl at NRG Stadium.

• Repair update: NRG Stadium roof panels on track to be fixed by Sept. 29

The work on the first panel began Wednesday and the goal is for repairs on the first panel to be completed in time for the Texans’ first home game of the season on Sept. 15 against the Chicago Bears.

Officials also hope to have repairs completed on the second panel by Sept. 29, the date of the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
