Pedestrian laying in road is hit, killed by vehicle in north Houston

A man is dead after being hit by a vehicle early Wednesday morning in north Houston.
Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division units are investigating the fatal incident , which happened around 12:54 a.m. on East Crosstimbers Street near I-45. Witnesses said the man was acting erratically and had been laying in the street for about five minutes before he was hit.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
