HOUSTON – Houston firefighters were called to rescue a person who was trapped inside a trench Wednesday afternoon in southwest Houston, according to the Houston Fire Department.
The incident was reported at 4455 North Brasewood around 3 p.m.
A pipe reportedly fell into the trench and pinned the worker.
After being rescued, firefighters said said he was conscious and talking while he was being transported to a nearby hospital.
People were asked to avoid the area due to heavy emergency traffic.
