Harris County Sheriff’s Office Flood Rescue Team posted on social media that they rescued ten adults and four dogs in the 17600 block of Meadowbrook Dr.
In a recent update, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez announced his involvement with rescue teams at a staging area near Dell Dale and East Freeway.

The focus is on conducting rescues in the Rio Villa area, which has been isolated due to the ongoing flooding.

On the San Jacinto River East Fork, it’s too late to evacuate preemptively & folks are being assisted off their rooftops. If you are on the West Fork or south of Lake Houston you still have an opportunity to leave. Otherwise, prepare to stay in place for 2-3 days.
